The house is near Porta Capuana (see the picture and the history). Walking in this area you can discover a part of Naples which combines history, art, shopping, popular traditions and much more; Nearby you find the church of Santa Caterina a Formiello and San Giovanni a Carbonara.
Very close you can see The Contemporary Art Museum “Madre” situated in the ancient Palazzo Donnaregina, hosting several exhibitions, workshops and movie reviews (this is the 10 minutes wall to reach it).
Not far is the Archaeological National Museum, which host a surprising art collection from Prehistory until the 18th Century (this is the 20 minutes wall to reach it); there is a large collection from Pompei and sculptures from the Farnese Collection).
Near the house there is Pizzeria Di Martino where you can test “pizza fritta the true Neapolitan pizza”, zuppa di cozze, “brodo di purpo” (the octopus soup).
In via Carbonara there is Bar Capriccio where you can eat the best Babbà of Naples (typical cake) SFOGLIATELLA (it could be “frolla” or “riccia“).
Very close is the old town “CENTRO STORICO”, The Historic Centre of Naples To go there you must walk VIA TRIBUNALI a tipical Napoletan street of the old center. Pizzerias along via Tribunali: Presidente – Di Matteo – Sorbillo

From here a very nice walk to the sea side: PIAZZA PLEBISCITO (Royal Palace, San Carlo Teatre…) from the house to CASTEL DELL’OVO on the sea. There you can see “Borgo Marinari” where you can find many restaurants. You can eat: fish, mussel soup with bread croutons… A very nice palce is «Barcadero» where you can eat the «Fresella» with tomato and mozzarella where you can also rent a boat
